Head of Sales / CCO

 Oslo, Norway

Job brief

We are looking for a high-performance Head of Sales and or CCO to sell next-generation green vessels, and to propel our unique SES technology to the mass markets. Your key responsibility will be the execution of sales to meet the ambitious sales targets. You can expect to lead the complete sales pipeline, including lead identification and management, post-sales operations, commissioning and customer follow up. You can also expect to be in close dialogue with customers, yards, classification societies, and flag states. Close collaboration with the technical department is essential. The role requires strong technical and economical understanding and preferably extensive experience from earlier technology sales roles of maritime systems or other products of relevance. Travelling must be expected.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Execution of sales to meet ambitious sales targets
  • Develop strategies and techniques necessary for achieving the sales targets
  • Map potential customers, generate and maintain leads for the organization
  • Develop sales contracts with the use of legal support where needed
  • Building and managing future sales team
  • Project performance and product delivery - together with extended team
  • External monitoring and contact with suppliers, yards, customers, and classification societies
  • General flexibility to support and potentially lead adjacent operational roles in the company
  • General strategy work together with the core team


Qualifications and experience

  • Very strong experience from sales of technical systems - preferably in marine technology
  • Solid people and communication skills
  • Strong technical and analytical abilities
  • Prior experience from project delivery of ships and/or ship-based systems and equipment
  • Fluent in at least Norwegian and English
  • Preferably BSc or higher education in technology, economics, or equivalent

Business Development Manager

 Oslo, Norway

Job brief

We are looking for a business development manager to join our expanding team in Oslo. Your responsibilities will be the identification and development of new markets and geographies, commercial support, general due diligence, development of partnerships, and support on budgeting, financials, and strategy together with a larger team. The role requires strong analytical, economic, and technical understanding, and preferably experience from earlier analytics/consulting/business development roles. You can expect to take a critical part in shaping the company into an international success story – and to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy on water.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain commercial leads and general commercial support for the sales team
  • Map and develop commercial opportunities in target markets and geographies
  • Due diligence work on commercial, suppliers, partners, and yards
  • General strategy work with the larger SES-X team
  • Expect to take part in a wide scope of activities to improve the business


Qualifications and experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Solid general economic, financial, and technical understanding
  • Fluent in at least Norwegian and English
  • Preferably MSc or higher education in economics, technology or business administration
